Hyne has welcomed the Queensland Government’s announcement to build the replacement, state-of-the-art Maryborough Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) Complex from their engineered timber solutions.

Recruitment is set to commence for 50 more jobs created in Maryborough as the member for Maryborough, Bruce Saunders MP and Hyne Timber CEO, Jon Kleinschmidt announce a $14.5M expansion project.

The latest five storey mass engineered timber building to be constructed in Queensland, topped out this week as the final, prefabricated Glue Laminated Timber Beams and Cross Laminated Timber panels are craned into position.

Australian family owned Hyne Timber is looking for government support for an initiative which will see saw logs destined for export, processed at its Tumbarumba Mill, protecting hundreds of jobs locally and along the timber supply chain, helping the Australian economy recover from bushfires and the COVID-19 pandemic.
